RSS maintains a rotating inventory of used and new grinders — both rebuilt Cincinnati-style machines and new RSS No. 2 units ready for immediate delivery or further CNC customization.
RSS remanufactures all major centerless grinder types to like-new or better-than-new condition — often adding modern CNC capabilities the original machine never had.
An existing mechanical grinder can enter the CNC era at a fraction of new-machine cost. RSS fits servo infeed, CNC profile dressers, regulating wheel drives, and touchscreen interfaces onto any rebuilt machine — delivering modern tolerances and productivity immediately.
The machine is fully stripped and every component inspected for wear, damage, and dimensional accuracy. A detailed condition report is produced before any work begins.
Worn ways, spindle bores, and structural surfaces are re-machined and reground to original or tighter tolerances. Castings are cleaned, repaired, and repainted.
All worn or degraded components — bearings, seals, hydraulics, electrics — are replaced with new parts. CNC and servo upgrades are integrated at this stage.
The machine is reassembled to exacting alignment specs. Spindle geometry, wheel centerline, and work-rest blade angles are precisely set and verified by measurement.
Production test parts are ground to verify tolerances and surface finish meet or exceed original factory specifications before the machine ships to the customer.
Beyond grinding machines, RSS provides broader automation engineering services — from PLC commissioning to full robotic cell design.
